01 / THE RITE

What we do.

A consultation, in the old order, was never a conversation alone — it ended with an object. An amulet, a woven band, a mark. We kept the ending and changed the material. Your reading is computed from real ancient counts, drawn as a wheel, printed into cotton, and left readable by any phone that looks at it.

The counts are the Maya Tzolk'in and Haab; the staves are the Elder Futhark — named as theirs, used with respect, never claimed as ours. A reading is a mirror, not medicine, law or money advice. Every rune band is reviewed before print.

  1. The count

You give a name and a date. We run it through the 260-day sacred count, the 365-day year, the moon, and the rune-row. Nothing is invented; it all resolves the same way every time.

  2. The wheel

The result is drawn as a calendar wheel — tone, sign, month, phase, and your name in Elder Futhark around the hub. No two names land on the same wheel.

  3. The garment

The wheel goes to the back panel; the sign goes to the chest; the hub goes on the pocket. It changes colour to the cloth it lands on. That is the chameleon.

  4. The scan

Every wheel is an AR marker. Point a phone at a stranger's back and the wheel lifts off the cloth and turns. Your reading speaks itself, out loud, in the street.

02 / THE TECHNIQUES

Three old instruments, still accurate.

Three of the instruments inside every wheel we print. Take one apart.

03 / THE INSTRUMENT

The Chameleon Calendar.

Give it a name and a date. It casts a wheel that belongs to nobody else, then changes its skin to whatever cloth you put it on — and the room changes with it.

Read on this device — your name and birth date go nowhere unless you order or share. Privacy policy

HOW IT WORKS

01

Cast your wheel

Name, date, cloth, placement, size. The maker computes and draws it live.

02

Send it to us

One tap opens WhatsApp with your serial and casting attached. We confirm the price in chat and send your payment details — EFT or a payment link, right there in WhatsApp.

03

Printed & couriered

Printed to order in Johannesburg — 5 to 10 working days, then couriered anywhere in South Africa. Faulty or not as agreed: six months to send it back.

How paying works

  • Nothing up front. Building a wheel is free and you can download it without paying or leaving an address.
  • We quote in writing. Your WhatsApp message arrives with your serial on it. We reply with the final price, size and delivery date before any money moves.
  • EFT, or a card link on request. We send an invoice in the chat with bank details, or a secure card payment link if you would rather pay by card.
  • We never ask for card numbers or passwords in chat. Not your PIN, not your banking login, not an OTP. If a message claiming to be us asks, it is not us.

04 / THE SCAN

Read using AR.

Every wheel we print is a trackable marker. Open the scanner, hold a printed wheel in frame, and it lifts off the cloth, turns, and reads itself aloud. No app, no download — it runs in the browser you are already holding.

  • No app tax. Runs in the browser, on iPhone and Android, off one tap.
  • Trackable artwork. Every garment carries a serial in the rune band; the scan resolves to that exact casting.
  • Consent-first. A wearer can mute their wheel — the scan then returns only the sign, never the name.

05 / THE CONSULTATION

One reading, one garment.

It ends the way a consultation should: with something you can wear out of the room.

SHIPPA readings are a cultural and design practice. They are not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and we will say so again in the room.

06 / THE CASTINGS

Some of our castings.

Each piece is an AR-trackable artwork. Apparel, calendars, key holders — all of it reads.

07 / THE RACK

Pairs on the rack.

Sneakers held here in Johannesburg and priced in rand — no customs to clear, no three-week wait, no card in dollars. Pick your size, hold it on WhatsApp, collect in Jozi or take the courier.
